Multiple strands of Czechoslovakian glass beads and semi-precious stones befit the name of this elegant beauty.  Mayan women from the Guatemalan highlands use traditional weaving and beading techniques to hand craft the necklaces.  The necklace is approximately 20" long. Available in a number of eye-catching colors.  Each necklace has matching earrings and bracelet.

 

Artist's Story:

Women artisans from the highlands of Guatemala use traditional beading techniques to create this elegant jewelry. These indigenous women are among the most economically disadvantaged residents of Guatemala. They work under strict fair trade conditions, meaning their wages are 3-5 times higher than average in their economy, their work environment is safe and pleasant, and they receive health care and skills training.

    This necklace is put together with extreme precision. The craftsmanship is excellent! I absolutely love the color combination of the beads and the ease in closing the clasp. I highly recommend this product.

    I love the color of the beads in the matching set of earrings, bracelet, and necklace. I would recommend them to anyone. I like the idea that my purchase is helping the craftsman earn a living.
