Artist's Story:
Ecuador has a long history of creating jewelry out of rainforest seeds. However, without a lucrative market to sell their jewelry, many artisans have to forgo meals to feed their children. The fair trade artisans who make this jewelry no longer face this dilemma. They receive business training, workshops in design, and of course a fair wage and good working conditions. Their lives have been and continue to be transformed when you purchase their products.
